Multitalented, Tony Haris’ career spans across almost every creative medium. The grandson of Grammy Award nominated Jazz legend Gene Harris and the nephew of long time Madonna back-up singer and collaborator Niki Haris, Tony was encouraged at a young age to train in multiple arts. Haris trained in ballet at Interlochen Arts Academy and eventually went on to dance backup for recording artists, in music video, and live events throughout his early career. Tony later appeared on the television series Weird Science and performed dance and supporting roles in feature film including 1998’s The Temptation’s. He has also appeared in television commercials for Subway and IBM and print campaigns for Apple Ipod, Xbox, and Clarks Shoes.

Tony spent his early transition from dance working in live theatre and production shows, including lead roles in the NAACP Award nominated musical “Looking For God” and Hong Kong Disney’s “The Lion King”. He has also gained a great reputation as a session singer among chart-topping producers and songwriters including Jimmy Messer (Kelly Clarkson). Recently, Haris toured as a backup vocalist for Latin superstar Enrique Iglesias. 

Tony’s music marries inspiration from the 80’s and 90’s with current Electro-Pop, Pop, and Soul… Electro-Pop Soul. A global sound.

A gifted writer, Tony pens each song from experience, drawing on personal situations to provide the relatable subject matter in his songs.  Clever lyrical storytelling accented by detailed harmonic vocal arrangements are the signature of Tony’s distinct sound.

On stage Tony revists the performance era of singer/dancer performers from the late 80’s early 90’s era of MTV which spawned the careers of Janet Jackon, Paula Abdul and later inspired the careers of Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake.  

Haris’s image represents a culture of on-trend, internationally aware, diverse, fashionistas, gay-boys, and hipsters, at times equally as influenced by the 80’s and 90’s as his music.

In 2012, Tony continues to work with producers and collaborators for his upcoming independent release.
